Five Ways To Slay Your Day

Now Girls we've all had a case of the Mondays... and Tuesdays, Wednesdays LOL. What I'm saying is, we all have those days where we feel sluggish, tired and completely uninspired. It happens to the best of us, what matters is that we don't allow ourselves to stay in that head space. So here are five tips that I use daily to stay out of a rut and slay my day!

1.PLAN IT OUT Step one of slaying your day starts the night before. What I like to do is after I get off work and get settled is plan out my next day. You guys know I love making list, so I start out by making a list of everything I want to accomplish and set my intentions for the day. If I have somewhere to be, I might pick out my outfit in advance. I'll also set an alarm so I wake up on time and start my day off right!

2. MEDITATION Now this step might not be for everybody, but as someone who suffers from anxiety it is definitely one of the things that helps me! I like to read over the goals and intentions that I set the night before and then meditate over those specific aspirations. It really helps me get in tune with myself and what I want to accomplish for the day. If you're new to the practice, try guided meditation. You can also replace this step with yoga or prayer depending on what you believe! Anything that makes you feel centered!

3.MAKE YOUR BED

I know this step sounds silly, however it is extremely effective. Not only does it force you to actually get up out of the bed, it allows you to complete one task as soon as you wake up. you will start your day off on the right foot and it will encourage you to keep the momentum going!

4.EAT BREAKFAST Now this one might seem a little obvious, but you'd be surprised by how often this step is missed. Eating a good breakfast is a vital to slaying your day, it will give you all the energy you need to complete your daily goals. I like to eat a couple slices of turkey bacon, oatmeal and of course tea!

5.INSPIRATIONAL APPS We all have tons of apps on our phone. Half of them we don't even use. So why not download a few to make your day a little brighter. My personal fave is an app called I Am. You can also download quotation apps. One of my friends told me she sets an alarm every day that says what have you done towards your dream lately. I thought that was an amazing idea to share with you all. Its a nice way to hold yourself accountable.
